You are also invited to join us–in spirit or in person. We meet in Room 106, which is within the Church Office, at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoons. At the beginning of the Prayers of the People, this petition is made:
O Lord, we lift up the names of these your children,
in love and concern,for their many and several needs,
and for your general and special blessings.
We pray for their salvation and spiritual needs,
physical, material, and financial needs;
mental, intellectual, and emotional needs;
social, relationship, and social justice needs;
forgiveness, love, and hope needs, protection, and guidance,
and that they may be more closely drawn to Thee.
We pray for the physical and spiritual well-being
of our family and friends, that they may rejoice in your mercy and love,
and share in your joy in your heavenly Kingdom.
Loving God, in Jesus Christ you teach us to pray: Guide us by your Holy Spirit that our prayers for others may serve your will and show your steadfast love for all.
Lord, in your mercy:
hear our prayer.
Following that petition, every member of the church is lifted up in prayer by name.
Names of those for whom prayers have been requested are each lifted up by name.
After all names have been submitted to God, individual members have an opportunity to pray for individual concerns.
The process takes from an hour to an hour and a half. Some 600 to 800 names are lifted up each week. If you are in the area, you are invited to join, either for a single session or as a regular member of the group.
ALL names mentioned, conditions and circumstances mentioned during this prayer meeting are kept in the absolute strictest confidence. All regular members of the prayer group know by careful instruction that absolutely nothing mentioned in that room is ever spoken outside it. Those who join us for one week or a short period of time are made aware of this policy at each prayer meeting, and it’s always stated in a way that it is clear to the casual or short-term participant that all things mentioned and all names spoken and individual circumstances never leave that room.
If you have requests, please use the form below. Please feel free to read our confidentiality statement above. A request permits (if you choose to leave an email address) a one time response simply to confirm that the request has been received and acted upon.
*We ask that you only use first names in submitting request for people, so their privacy will be kept. Any full names submitted will have last name redacted from the actual prayer request. God knew these people before the creation of the universe, we are certain He will know them by the single name you submit. Thank you for understanding the need for privacy!
† providing your email address will ensure you’ll get a one time response that your request has been received. We will not email you for any other reason than a one time response, except by your request.
