Our Resources page has numerous links to Christian spiritual growth
resources on the internet.
The Upper Room Daily Devotional
For over 65 years, Upper Room Ministries has helped churches and their members experience God by providing The Upper Room daily devotional guide. Millions of printed copies are distributed, their devotional material is available in print (copies available in our Narthex) as well through the above link.
The Text this Week
This site provides information on the Lectionary text for this particular week. The Lectionary is a unified system many denominations use to orderly structure Bible texts for the week, so the Bible texts listed here are likely the ones you’ll read Sunday in church.
Lively Worship
A website devoted to helping pastors and churches plan great worshipservices
Home Bible Study
A comprehensive Bible study site created by one of our members!
The oremus Bible Browser
Oremus Bible Browser uses the New Revised Standard Version which is the officially supported translation of the United Methodist Church worldwide. This site uses only that translation—while utilitarian in presentation, the site is actually quite powerful in that you can stack many different passages in the search and have them all presented on one page. There is also a quicklink button below the search box which will allow you to link the search results on a web page, facebook, twitter, you name it!
BibleGateway.com
The first and still the best online Bible on the internet. 20 versions of the Bible available in English and also translations in many other languages.
Biblos.com
An amazing resource, especially for drilling down to the study of a single verse at a time (with back and forward links for each verse). Click on the verse number for the passage you’re reading and you get a stunning interface of parallel translations, reference verses and bible commentaries on a single page. At the top, you have a toolbar full of even more amazing resources, even including an interlinear, Greek and Hebrew tab so you can drill down to the original language. Tons of maps and other resources too to help your study come alive.
Below is a tutorial video done by our own Steve Wilkinson. Biblos can be a bit intimidating, this 12 minute video shows a few of the ins and outs of using it for deep study of scripture.
