I am so happy that you found your way to this web site. Welcome. I trust that you will find in these resources a first glimpse into our community of faith. It is a unique one and one to which you are always invited. Let me tell you a bit about the First United Methodist Church of Miami.
I am relatively new to this congregation and have quickly found it to be a dynamic place to serve in ministry. FUMC loves Downtown Miami and that is one of its greatest strengths. We believe God has situated us here for a deep and lasting purpose. Just as Jesus spent time in the midst of a diverse community of persons, so too do we. Miami is one of the most dynamic communities in the world and we are certain Christ lives in this place and guides us in building a community of justice, hope and love. We would consider it a blessing to include you in the building of this community.
Throughout this web site you will find opportunities to get to know our congregation and Experience L.I.F.E. Downtown.. Through these opportunities our hope is that you will also grow deeper spiritually. We value diversity of opinion, theology and spiritual practice and seek to learn from one another as we journey together. The members of FUMC believe that the journey is all the richer due to those who travel it with us.
